1) I have an old copy of ArtCAM 8.2 Build 13 2005, I know it's old but this is what I have.2) I need a font I can engrave without making two passes over the same lines.3) The arcs need to be smooth, not a bunch of line segments.I was using Swiss1 with small text and it works OK, but as I go bigger you can see the line segments. I use the Machine Vectors command. It would be a great idea to use a different font similar to Swiss1 with better radius generations so I don't have to explode the text so I can engrave this job in the same order as how the text was copied.I'm using standard engraving stock plastic, cut.010' deep using a nose cone to control the depth of a.030' cutter.Is there a better font I can use?Can anyone describe in detail what I would have to do to cut a single pass down the center line of ArtCAM Arial font?

Single Line Fonts ‘Single line fonts’ is a subject that keeps coming up and has never really been resolved. Most if not all of the quality fonts are associated with their respective software programs and are not, in themselves, available separately.
I believe the choices I have are V-bit Carving or Smart Engraving. I believe so. But im not sure.I can link you the webpage you can buy the modul. However call or write email to the support.and they can help you better than waiting here for answer.the reason for using artcam fonteditor, because windows, don't let you define open vectors in any font file.windows inside converting to bitmap the true type, open type or any font, to displaying on your monitor.that's why open vectors will remain 'invisible'that's why you can not find real engraving fonts on the net. Systems like vision engraver or so, they also using other method for engraving fonts.since we use computer to make things. We can make very quick and fast things, wouldn't need without computer. Is that a stand alone module or part of ArtCAM 8.2?The module is for ArtCAM Express customers only.
It cannot be bought without an ArtCAM Express software licence. I'm not sure if the Font Creator was included in ArtCAM Pro 8.2, as I don't have it installed on my computer. If you know something very important, the way to get power is by actually sharing it. There is no such thing as a Truetype single line font by definition of the process.I understand the limits of a Truetype font, I understand that what I'm asking for is not really a TTF. But there must be something I can use that represents a font that only makes one pass instead of two when cutting my text.
Artcam Single Line Fonts
Making 2 passes doubles my engraving time and I'm running so many placards at one time it's not acceptable. For two full sheets of 2' x 4' engraving stock to cut 660 placards the run time is over 6 1/2 hours, I can't afford making two passes.
I have noticed there aren't many good single line fonts for engraving on a router type machine freely available. All good looking script fonts are outlined.So I decided to make my own fonts. They are for qcad which uses cxf type fonts. I've included a.dxf, which I believe is easily convertable to other cad/cam programs.Here is my first font, ver 0.1.
